Job Summary

Under direct supervision of a licensed respiratory therapist, the Student Clinical Respiratory Technician assists department staff with supply stocking, identifying supply inventory needs, performing ventilator calibrations, and maintenance of existing respiratory equipment. This position delivers ventilators and supplies as needed throughout the hospital, completes Clinical Engineering requests and completes tasks requested by the Respiratory Care Supervisor. This position has a maximum appointment length of two (2) months past the graduation date of the respiratory care program.

Respiratory Care is a highly technical and specialized ancillary department at University of California, Davis, Medical Center (UCDMC) providing assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients of all ages with critical pulmonary illness and trauma needs.
