Position Summary: 

This position is responsible for discharge processing, accounting for all records received into the department, prepping, and scanning records for processing the electronic medical record, document distribution, assisting customers with requests for information, answering telephones, assisting physicians with chart completion and general office duties.  This position reports to the Health Information Services Director.

Salary Range: 

 

Hourly Rate  Minimum   $18.17                   Midpoint               $22.06                   Maximum $27.25

 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

 

High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Completion of medical terminology course preferred. Minimum Experience: Some health record experience desirable. General office skills required including telephones, typing, CRT and filing systems as well as knowledge of birth registrar regulations regarding birth certificates preferred.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
