Offers will not exceed this range, the majority of candidates are placed near the midpoint based on experience and qualifications.</span></em><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"335559738":240,"335559739":240}"> </span></p> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Job Duties & Functions:</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"335559738":240,"335559739":240}"> </span></p> <p></p> <ul> <li>Provides ASL interpretation during various virtual and in-person meetings, conferences, trainings, and therapeutic interactions (counseling, case management) for clinical staff and the people we serve.</li> <li>Maintain adherence to the RID and NCIHC codes of professional conduct and the role of the interpreter.</li> <li>Serve as advocate and liaison between the Deaf, hard of hearing and Deaf/Blind communities and hearing providers.</li> <li>Collaborate with Impact & Engagement department to provide ideas and feedback on how to make all services inclusive for the Deaf, hard of hearing and Deafblind people we serve and staff.</li> <li>Work with providers who do not sign on best practices to ensure an inclusive and equitable experience for the Deaf, hard of hearing and Deafblind people we serve.</li> <li>Assist the Language Services Manager with trainings specific to the Deaf, hard of hearing and Deafblind community.</li> <li>Serve as back up interpreter scheduler, when needed.</li> <li>Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Requirements & Qualifications:</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"335559738":240,"335559739":240}"> </span></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a related field.</li> <li>Minimum 3 years of experience of ASL interpretation.</li> <li>Strong knowledge and understanding of Deaf culture.</li> <li>Experience working with non-profit organizations, mental health or healthcare is preferred.</li> <li>Must have RID CI/CT, NIC or BEI certification or equivalent.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <hr> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Work Location: </span></strong><span data-contrast="none">This is a hybrid opportunity open to folks residing in the </span><strong><em><span data-contrast="none">Greater Denver Metro area. </span></em></strong></span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><strong><span data-contrast="none">Shift/Hours:</span></strong> <span data-contrast="none">This is a Monday-Friday opportunity observing standard business hours with 60% of the week being on-site, while the other 40% is remote work. </span></span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Physical Requirements: </span></strong><span data-contrast="auto">Requires sitting, standing, bending, and reaching. May require lifting up to 40 pounds.
