Position Summary:  Responsible for directing the planning, development, and implementation of psychiatric rehabilitation services delivered to individuals WellPower serves. Ensure provision of high-quality services and efficient and effective internal processes and communication. Coordinate service delivery with clinical areas and work collaboratively with other departments within WellPower as well as with community agencies and provider organizations. Support the organization's mission, vision, values and short and long-range goals. Provide vision and direction in setting and completing goals, within all aspects of the psychiatric rehabilitation program.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $110,000-$150,000 per year

The posted range represents the full hiring range. Offers will not exceed this range, the majority of candidates are placed near the midpoint based on experience and qualifications. 

Job Duties & Functions: 

  • Develop and direct the psychiatric rehabilitation program service delivery for the diverse population of Denver insuring on-going effective community-based programs.
  • Lead and participate in completing grant proposals for the program, generating revenue from private sources.
  • Initiate collaboration with funders, stakeholders, employers and community agencies to provide opportunities to maximize services to psychiatric rehabilitation program participants.
  • Analyze and assess program effectiveness, set vision and provide supportive and innovative recommendations and direction to improve efficiency and support compliance.
  • Promote program self-sufficiency through planning, innovation, evidenced-based practices and operational efficiencies.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a trauma informed environment of wellbeing in the department.
  • Participate in the development of the organization's plans and programs as a strategic partner with emphasis on supporting positive impact for program participants.
  • Coordinate the program's services with other clinical areas of WellPower and community partners.
  • Directly supervise psychiatric rehabilitation program managers with duties to include hiring, training, motivating, evaluating, coaching, and providing accountability measures. Support supervisors in promoting the growth and development of their staff members.
  • Collaborate in supervisory processes taken by supervisors.
  • Comply with organizational policies and procedures and WellPower's commitment to equal opportunity employment.
  • Ensure compliance to organization policies, state and federal rules and regulations governing mental health services and centers.
  • Act as liaison with other agencies and organizations providing services to people the psychiatric rehabilitation program serves.
  • Provide indirect supervision of Skills Training and Job Placement/Retention processes.
  • Provide linkage to WellPower and other community mental health centers statewide as needed.
  • Direct or indirect supervision of all psychiatric rehabilitation staff. Directly supervising program managers.
  • Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.
  • Other duties as assigned 

Requirements & Qualifications: 

  • Master's Degree required.
  • LCSW, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist required or obtain within 6 months of hire for drop-in billing purposes
  • Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in human services and community-based organizations that promote successive employment and address barriers, i.e., transitional housing, substance use, health, etc.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience with demonstrated budgeting development, grant writing/administration and psychiatric rehabilitation program development preferred
  • Psychiatric rehabilitation experience encouraged to apply
  • Experience with Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and CPRP is preferred
  • Experience with warehouse management preferred

Work Location: This is a hybrid opportunity open to folks residing in the Greater Denver Metro area and will require 1-2 days per week on-site and the rest of the week working remotely.

Shift/Hours: This is a Monday-Friday opportunity observing standard business hours.

Physical Requirements: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, the telephone and other office and/or clinical equipment.
