WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty at Forbes 4 Star/AAA Diamond standards.

  • This program will offer rotations through a variety of departments. Interns will gain exposure to Outside Services, Golf Shop Operations, Tournament Preparation as well as supporting other member functions, ensuring all are performed at Forbes/AAA, 4 star/diamond standards
  • Additional exposure to large member events, private banquets and weddings. This will allow you the opportunity to learn proper procedures for understanding set-up, execution, and breakdown.  

Whitetail Golf Outside Services, gain an understanding of the following: 

  • General understanding of Whitetail Club's golf environment and standard operating procedures.
  • Hold responsibility for supporting the day-to-day golf club operation, member/guest and staff experience.
  • Play a key role in assisting in the daily golf operation including tee time management, member/guest relations, golf cart fleet management, practice facility management and event execution.  

Whitetail Golf Shop, gain an understanding of the following: 

  • Assist in the daily golf operation supporting staff performance, event promotion and management, merchandising operation and junior golf program.  
  • Assist in organizing, promoting and conducting golf clinics for all players.
  • Maintain an attractive golf shop and work to achieve merchandising profitability providing superior service
  • Actively support and promote club events and activities.

Whitetail Club Tournaments & other Golf Focused Events, gain an understanding of the following: 

  • Support the Event services team in support of providing consistently exceptional quality for our Club members and their guests. 
  • Special events, pop-up or scheduled to enhance our Club Members' experience. 
  • Participate in organized and frequent correspondence with members and member prospects.   
  • Build and liaise strong relationships with all parties and departments for event success.
  • Set-up times, Food and Beverage requirements and staff service needs for club events.


Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:       

  • 2+ years of relevant Forbes/AAA, 3/4 star/diamond service experience in hospitality industry preferred  
  • High School Diploma or equivalent Education
  • Knowledge and ease of use with Microsoft applications, Outlook and Internet navigation
  • Ability to multi-task; while maintaining a high degree of organization and remaining detail oriented
  • Superior customer service skills and the ability to develop strong relationships
  • Organizational and time management skills a desire to exceed expectations
  • A positive attitude and the ability to embrace Whitetail Club's mission to create lasting memories for our members and their guests 
  • A mindset for professional growth and commitment
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record
