Position Reports To: Director of Imaging & Cardiac Services
The Imaging & Cardiac Services Department plays a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic and cardiovascular care to our patients and community. Imaging Services includes Radiology/X-ray, CT, MRI, Mammography, and Nuclear Medicine. As the Clinical Manager, you will lead a dedicated team focused on providing safe, efficient, patient-centered care while supporting operational excellence across both Imaging and Cardiac Services.
Job SummaryThe Clinical Manager, Imaging & Cardiac Services is responsible for providing operational and clinical leadership for Imaging Services while supporting the oversight and coordination of Cardiac Services. This role leads departmental workflow, staffing, quality initiatives, regulatory compliance, patient experience, and team development. The Clinical Manager serves as a key resource for physicians, providers, staff, and organizational leadership while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will maintain clinical competency within Imaging Services and be willing to provide direct patient care coverage as operational needs require.
Key Responsibilities Imaging Services Leadership & Operations- Provide day-to-day operational and clinical leadership for Imaging Services.
- Manage department workflow, staffing, quality outcomes, patient safety initiatives, and patient experience.
- Recruit, hire, orient, coach, mentor, evaluate, and develop Imaging Services team members.
- Maintain clinical competency in Radiology/X-ray and provide direct patient care coverage as needed.
- Ensure staff maintain required licenses, certifications, competencies, and continuing education requirements.
- Monitor productivity, staffing levels, patient flow, quality metrics, and operational performance.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to support high-quality patient care.
- Support the implementation of new imaging technologies, equipment, services, and process improvements.
- Provide operational support and departmental oversight for Cardiac Services.
- Serve as a liaison between physicians, providers, staff, leadership, and external stakeholders.
- Support communication, coordination, and problem-solving related to current and emerging cardiac services.
- Assist with workflow, staffing, performance, quality, and service initiatives in partnership with clinical and medical leadership.
- Promote a culture of patient safety, accountability, teamwork, and service excellence.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, safety, infection prevention, and organizational standards.
- Participate in and support departmental quality improvement and patient experience initiatives.
- Assist with budgeting, resource utilization, strategic planning, policy development, and departmental goal achievement.
Performs additional duties as assigned, within the scope of responsibility.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT certification and registration in Radiography (R).
- Current Ohio licensure, as applicable.
- Minimum five (5) years of leadership experience within an imaging department.
- Demonstrated experience managing imaging staff and day-to-day departmental operations.
- Ability and willingness to maintain clinical competency and provide Radiology/X-ray coverage as needed.
- Candidates not currently certified in CT must be willing to complete CT training and competency requirements.
- Strong communication, organizational, leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Management, or a related field.
- Additional certification or experience in CT, MRI, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, or another advanced imaging modality.
- Prior imaging leadership experience in a hospital setting.
- Experience or exposure to Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Rehabilitation, or other cardiovascular services.
