- Must have at least 1 year in ICU setting
- RNs required to titrate drips
- Travelers must be comfortable managing the majority of drips like Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin
- Nurses must be able to interpret strips
- Schedule Information
- Shifts 7-7 for AM and PM
- Scheduler for float pool will make the schedule
- Schedule is published 6 weeks out for 4 weeks at a time
- Travelers will need to be flexible
- Night shift will try to accommodate for block scheduling
- Weekend Requirements: Every Other
- Holiday Requirements: Will include travelers in perm staff rotation
- On-call or standby required on shifts when excessive staff
- Unit Specific Information
- Float Pool includes ICU, MedSurg, Tele, and PCU across both campuses
- Nurse:Patient Ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6
- Common diagnoses: Geriatric patients, ortho patients, post-procedural cardiac cath
- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Present, will not take assignments
- Nurse aids utilization in all settings
- RT Equipment in use: CPAP, BiPap on the unit, Monitor techs monitor PCU and Medsurg Tele
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Solid color professional scrubs, changing to Navy scrubs in October
- Unit/Department specific orientation: 8 hours general hospital, 12 hours shift at West MedTele and PCU at West
