Job Description:Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Retail Management or relevant field of study preferred
Work Experiences:
- 3+ years of retail operations or merchandising experience required
- Previous experience understanding Floor Plans and Planograms

- Analytical, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills
- Ability to remain organized, pay attention to detail and meet critical deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels
- Ability to identify opportunities and drive change within all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:
- Drive the strategic planning, communication and execution of divisionally specific merchandising initiatives
- Support assigned merchandise categories by providing comprehensive direction to stores regarding planograms, floor plans, visual and signage, fixtures, pricing, and merchandising execution
- Partner with field leadership to gather feedback from stores regarding merchandise execution tasks and merchandising execution opportunities
- Work cross-functionally to develop initiatives to drive sales, control costs and improve customer experience
- Create content for communication tools such as: Monthly Overview, Seasonal Gameplans, Pricing projects, etc.
- Leverage the Task Management / Communication tool to deliver Merchandise Execution, Promotional and Special Project memos.
- Lead the in-store execution of POG pre-sets and develop post mortems for all major seasonal sets
- Drive incremental sales through creative merchandising, suggestive selling and outside the box thinking.
- Support the In-Store Services and 3rd party vendor relationships for specific product categories
- Participate in coordinating merchandising tasks for special projects tied to specific product categories
- Collaborate with stores, merchants and other corporate departments to improve future merchandising execution
- Actively be available to communicate business needs to the field that will drive sales, efficiencies, and overall customer experience
- Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures and safety rules
- Responsibilities may change; team members may be required to perform other tasks as assigned
