  • Billing resource to Operations Management and Business Development.

  • Maintain and ensure that all appropriate documentation needed for billing is documented in CAD prior to dispatch.

  • Schedule transport in CAD.

  • Obtain payment or a formal guarantee of payment prior to transport for all transports deemed not medically necessary as defined by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Ambulance Policy Manual – Chapter 10.

  • Actively pursue and obtain copayments and deductibles prior to transport for all non-emergency transports.

  • Provide price quotes for all private pay transports, local and long distance and obtain payment prior to transport.

  • Create and maintain a strong team environment through communication, motivation, and consistency.

  • Represent Acadian interests during customer's daily patient movement/discharge meetings.

  • Be the primary Acadian point of contact with on site customer management base at the assigned facility. 

  • Be Acadian subject matter expert on what services are available in the market to the assigned facility. 

  • Other responsibilities, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.

  2. Knowledge of Acadian Communications, Operations, and Business Development areas and the ability to coordinate activities across these areas. 

  3. Basic computer skills.

  4. Familiarity with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services regulations (ambulance).

  5. Must be able to type 40-50 wpm.
