Description

The Materials Management department has an immediate opening for a full-time Warehouse Coordinator at the Hopkins St. location in Lafayette, LA. The selected candidate will be responsible for supplies, storage, and accessibility of items in order to ensure an adequate supply without excessive oversupply.  Oversee physical inventory and coordinates weekly transfer to outlying supply depots.

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Oversee all deliveries/shipments, receiving of goods, and routing of supply orders. Ensure accuracy of all shipments.
• Oversee the processing of supply orders for our service area.
• Oversee daily supply requests outside of the normal supply orders.
• Record usages into inventory system.
• Handle damaged materials and discrepancies with the Materials Supervisor.
• Schedule cycle inventory counts.
• Coordinate bi-annual physical inventory of warehouse and depots.
• Manage all medical products sales orders and shipments.
• Oversee drop shipments to other locations and receiving of the goods in the inventory system.
• Fill in for the warehouse personnel when needed.
• Communicate changes and respond to the needs to internal customers

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary degree helpful
• Current and valid state-issued driver's license determined by appropriate state requirements required with a clean driving record
• Knowledge of medical products
• Inventory control knowledge
• Warehouse and forklift experience preferred
• Must be able to complete various activities like standing, walking, and driving for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Dependable and reliable
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Self-motivated and able to quickly adapt to a fast-paced work environment
• General computer skills and the ability to learn new software; ability to run and analyze inventory reports.
