Advocate Health is seeking an Experienced Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to serve as Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
As Chair, you will have broad support through a dedicated service line team as well as system resources that allow you to lead effectively in a high acuity, high volume practice environment. As the Advocate Aurora Medical group Leader for Emergency medicine at Christ hospital, you will work closely with the service line team to ensure department operations are fully aligned with system goals, culture, and values. Success in this role requires vision, outstanding communication skills, and collaboration with residency program leadership, primary care, and other specialties while engaging your team and shaping the next generation of Emergency Medicine physicians.
The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of leadership experience and a proven ability to manage a medium to large Department of Emergency Medicine. Advanced education including fellowship training is valued. A strong background in Emergency Medicine operations, academic program experience, and an aptitude for managing complexity are all highly valued. You will work closely with the Service Line team to ensure department operations are fully aligned with system and Service Line goals, culture, and values. Success in this role requires strong leadership and communication skills, operational and process improvement competencies, and the ability to engaging your team, lead through change and shape the next generation of Emergency Medicine Physicians.
The Chair of Emergency Medicine at Christ hospital is also a member of the Emergency Medicine Leadership Council. You will have excellent support with a dedicated Service Line Leadership team as well as system resources that allow you to lead effectively in a busy practice environment.
