About the role:

We are looking for a Director of Business Development to join our Transformation Team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise to support business development initiatives and provide in-depth analysis. Additionally, you will support and eventually lead commercial negotiations.

Reporting to the VP Business Development – Transformation, you will:

  • Lead preparation of financials models (Assessments)
  • Develop business development solutions and strategies
  • Lead conversations with external parties, prospects and internal stakeholders
  • Present business cases to the Executive Team
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support investment decisions
  • Use financial models to establish asset and company valuations
  • Assist with preparation, participate and sit-in with discussions with management and executive leadership on assigned project topics
  • Take initiative to make process improvements and standardize approaches
  • Work with Business Unit and Resource Unit deal team members to coordinate due diligence activities
  • Query financial data from Hyperion / Essbase or similar 

What you can bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering.
  • MBA or Master's degree is an asset.
  • 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in finance or valuation work.
  • Proficiency in understanding and analyzing financial statements, with knowledge of various valuation methodologies.
  • Strong negotiation and commercial skills, with the ability to connect with others quickly and build trust.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills, capable of managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, comfortable with analyzing complex problems and working on ambiguous projects.
  • Enthusiastic team player with good collaboration skills.
  • Experience with queries, including ESSbase, Hyperion, Oracle, or similar systems is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Nous recherchons un(e) Directeur(trice) en Développement Commercial pour rejoindre notre Équipe de Transformation. Dans ce rôle clé, vous mettrez à profit votre expertise pour soutenir les initiatives de développement commercial et fournir des analyses approfondies. De plus, vous soutiendrez et finirez par diriger des négociations commerciales.

Relevant du/de la Vice-Président(e) Développement Commercial – Transformation, vous serez chargé(e) de :

  • Piloter la préparation des modèles financiers (évaluations)
  • Élaborer des solutions et des stratégies de développement commercial
  • Conduire des discussions avec des parties externes, des prospects et des parties prenantes internes
  • Présenter des études de cas au Comité de Direction
  • Assumer le rôle de Chef(fe) de projet pour les équipes affectées aux projets transformateurs
  • Développer et maintenir des modèles financiers pour appuyer les décisions d'investissement
  • Utiliser les modèles financiers pour établir des évaluations d'actifs et d'entreprises
  • Contribuer à la préparation et participer aux discussions avec la direction et les cadres dirigeants sur les sujets assignés
  • Prendre l'initiative d'améliorer les processus et de standardiser les approches
  • Collaborer avec les membres des équipes de transaction des Unités d'Affaires et des Unités de Ressources pour coordonner les activités de diligence raisonnable
  • Interroger les données financières provenant de Hyperion/Essbase ou systèmes similaires

Ce que vous apportez au rôle :

  • Diplôme en commerce, finance ou ingénierie.
  • Un MBA ou une maîtrise est un atout.
  • 10 ans d'expérience, dont au moins 5 ans dans la finance ou l'évaluation.
  • Maîtrise de la compréhension et de l'analyse des états financiers, avec une connaissance des différentes méthodes d'évaluation.
  • Solides compétences en négociation et en affaires, avec une capacité à établir rapidement une connexion et à inspirer confiance.
  • Excellentes compétences organisationnelles et en documentation, capable de gérer plusieurs projets avec des délais serrés.
  • Excellentes aptitudes analytiques et décisionnelles, à l'aise avec l'analyse de problèmes complexes et des projets ambigus.
  • Esprit d'équipe enthousiaste avec de bonnes compétences en collaboration.
  • Expérience des requêtes, notamment ESSbase, Hyperion, Oracle, ou systèmes similaires, est un plus.
  • Maîtrise de Microsoft Excel et PowerPoint.
  • Bilinguisme (français/anglais) puisque vous devez communiquer avec des parties prenantes à travers la région.
  • Volonté de voyager jusqu'à 25 % du temps.
