Description of the role: Always Best Care Senior Services - Oahu is seeking a Home Care Alt Supervisor (LSW/RN/LPN) to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. As a Home Care Alt Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors in our community by supervising and providing support to our team of home care aides. Responsibilities: - Supervise and provide guidance to a team of home care aides. - Train new home care aides on company policies, procedures, and care protocols. - Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to home care aides. - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans. - Provide direct care to clients as needed. - Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Requirements: - Valid Hawaii license as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). - Strong leadership and communication skills. - Clinical knowledge and experience with geriatric care. - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. - Compassionate and caring attitude towards seniors. Nursing Supervisor for Home Care (LSW/LPN/RN) Always Best Care is a non-medical Home Care and medical Home Health Agency service our kupuna across the island of O'ahu. We are one of the fastest growing agencies across the country. Looking for an energetic, experience and hard working LPN or RN with the passion for caring for our elders. The Alternate Nursing Supervisor (ANS), in accordance with policies and standards established by the Governing Body, and under the direct supervision of the Administrator and Nursing Supervisor, assists with the planning, coordination, leading, controlling, and evaluation of home care services. The ANS is responsible for coordination and liaison with appropriate parent and affiliate Departments and committees, development of policies and guidelines for and obtaining input from service personnel and providing professional input to related administrative systems. The ANS conducts intake meetings and develops care plans with direction of our home care clients and family members. The ANS directs and supervises professional and paraprofessional personnel rendering client care services, performs marketing duties, and fosters public relations for the company, consults and plans with home care facilities regarding staffing needs, and communicates the concept of quality client care to the general community. Also remains available during all hours that services are offered. The ANS interprets service needs to the Administrator and acts as a client services' administrative liaison. Additional Responsibilities Consults, plans, and works with Administrator in policy formulation and programmatic development and implementation, including assessing adequate and appropriate staffing. Coordinates with Administrator planning activities to develop administrative policies and practices for the Agency . Consults with supervisors and staff, individually or in groups, regarding clients or special programs or service programs. Evaluates the program, services, and field personnel. Directs the implementation of service goals and objectives. Develops standards that ensure safe and effective services to clients and families. Establishes and maintains effective channels of communication. Keeps program personnel up to date with state-of-the-art clinical information and practices staff development including orientation, in-service education, and continuing education. Client/patient intake meetings and develop care plans. Directs staff in performance of their duties. Oversees the implementation and evaluation of client care services, inclusive of regulatory licensure and certification criteria and accreditation standards.
