THE ROLE:

We are looking for our next team member, reporting directly to the Corporate Vice President, Americas Commercial Channel Chief, to create, manage and execute our global GTM strategy jointly with our commercial channel partners. Owning Commercial Channel 4P strategy efforts in the region. Collaborating with our partners to align on GTM strategies to increase market share and revenue. Identifying market opportunities, managing and deploying joint sales & marketing programs at a regional level, and ensuring coordinated execution between the Sales, Business Unit, Marketing and Finance teams.

Business, industry and sales acumen within the Commercial Sales space is critical; familiarity with the dynamics of a sales environment and culture is imperative.

  • Strategic Approach: Leadership across the Commercial Channel space, where you'll be looked to as the SME for GTM strategy. Having a pulse on the market, a deep understanding of the sales cycle/processes and a proven track record of structuring and conducting analyses to generate insight and recommendations to increase sales/market share.
  • Follow Through: The ability to power through daily challenges to execute and finish the job.
  • Execution: This is a fast-paced role that requires quick action, constant communication, and never-ending drive for improvement.
  • Communication: Outstanding interpersonal skills; able to connect with a wide range of audiences, including executives and customers.
  • Program & Budget Management: Proven success leading all aspects of large sales & marketing programs, including the associated budget

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage Partner Enablement Team
    • 3 partner enablement mangers aligned to distribution, NSP, and VAR sales teams
  • Product Management:
    1. Understanding AMD OEM platforms and market positioning in the channel 
    2. Prioritize how AMD technology fits business needs for channel customers 
    3. Work with segment leaders to ensure platform, pricing, positioning, and promotions are aligned to business goals. 
    4. Working with cross-functional teams (GAMS, enterprise, public sector, BU, marketing, finance) 
  • Business Management:
    1. Developing and executing business plans and strategies with distribution, NSP, and VARs. 
    2. Analyzing market trends and competitor activities. 
    3. Collaborating with sales teams to ensure effective execution of marketing plans. 
  • Partner with Marketing:
    1. Developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the product line. 
    2. Ensure go-to-market, pricing, and AMD incentives are aligned to channel growth initiatives and are partner margin accretive
    3. Ensuring the product is available in the right channels and locations. 
    4. Measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE: Proven relative experience in the semiconductor industry
  • PAST ROLES: Sales Strategy & GTM Strategy supporting regional sales teams (and/or Sales Support, Sales, etc.)
  • PRODUCT EXPERIENCE: Server/Datacenter
  • CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE: Commercial Channel Partners
  • TEAM LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated success leading a team.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

BS/MS degree in Business; MBA or equivalent working experience is a plus
