AMD Embedded/Automotive Product Line Quality Program Manager

 

 

THE ROLE:

This dynamic, highly visible role drives product Quality & Reliability from concept to end of life to ensure a differentiated experience, improve customer satisfaction and build customer confidence. The suitable candidate will lead and be accountable for Product Line Quality & Reliability for AMD Edge Inference/Embedded/Automotive Level Products. This is a high visibility role for highly experienced candidates.  Key interfaces for this role include Customer interface, AMD Business unit, AMD Silicon & Package Reliability teams, AMD Engineering leadership, Global Operations organization, and AMD business operations.

 

THE PERSON:

Ideal candidate is an experienced self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence other individuals and teams.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Automotive/Embedded customer interface with customers for quality and reliability items
  • Influence cross-functional activities across design, platform, operations and customer system bring-up and manufacturing to meet customer requirements
  • Influencing Fab and OSAT suppliers to meet product quality & reliability requirements including current and future technologies
  • Define and manage product reliability qualification activity to achieve full compliance with industry specifications.
  • Measure and improve outgoing product quality through Product end-of-life
  • Maintaining robust Quality Processes & Quality Management Systems
    • Program-manage root cause debug efforts related to customer line reject and field failure units
    • Drive resolution of customer quality/reliability excursions; primary interface with customers on quality excursions to drive containment/corrective action with Design/Pkg Eng/PPE as required.
    • Main interface between AMD Customers/BU and AMD Suppliers on all things Q & R related.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong knowledge of Semiconductor Platform, Product Engineering, or Customer Quality Engineering Experience Preferred.
  • Automotive Semiconductor Quality Experience Preferred.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or similar.
