THE ROLE:

AMD is building a modern Inside Sales organization to accelerate growth across our commercial client, datacenter, and emerging AI portfolio. As an Inside Sales Executive (ISE), you will play a critical role supporting our Focus 100 Strategic Account Executives—helping deepen engagement within top enterprise accounts, expand our footprint, and drive pipeline momentum.

This role blends inside sales, light account management, and operational customer engagement. You will support AEs by extending account coverage, nurturing relationships, coordinating customer touchpoints, managing follow-ups, organizing events, and ensuring customers receive an exceptional experience throughout their journey.

This is a great fit for someone who is highly organized, proactive, customer-centric, and energized by a dynamic role at the intersection of sales, operations, and account strategy. You'll be part of a new, fast-growing organization under AMD's Inside Sales Director, helping build scalable processes and rhythms from the ground up.

This is a remote role within the U.S., with light travel for key customer or team events.

THE PERSON:

You're a relationship-builder and a trusted partner—comfortable engaging with customers, supporting senior Account Executives, and managing multiple priorities at once. You combine sales instincts with operational precision and enjoy being the person who keeps everything running smoothly.

You bring:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; confident with customers and internal stakeholders
  • High curiosity and a willingness to learn AMD's product portfolio and ecosystem (OEMs, CSPs, channel)
  • A proactive, resourceful “builder” mindset — comfortable establishing new workflows, processes, and cadences
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple accounts, tasks, and deadlines
  • A collaborative, positive style — team-oriented, accountable, and energized by helping others succeed

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales & Account Support

  • Partner closely with Focus 100 Account Executives to extend account reach, deepen relationships, and support multi-threading efforts
  • Conduct outbound engagement to reconnect dormant accounts, qualify leads, and uncover new opportunities
  • Coordinate follow-ups from AE meetings, technical sessions, events, and customer requests
  • Help prepare pre-call briefs, research account insights, and gather competitive/market information

Customer Engagement

  • Drive customer touchpoints: meeting scheduling, courtesy check-ins, invitations to events, roadmap sessions, webinars, etc.
  • Engage customers directly to understand needs, share AMD value propositions, and funnel opportunities into the pipeline
  • Support meet-comps and basic customer operational motions (tracking deals, aligning details, ensuring accuracy)

Pipeline & Operational Rigor

  • Own accurate, timely Salesforce hygiene—notes, next steps, pipeline updates, meeting logs, and task management
  • Help AEs progress opportunities through the funnel and monitor pipeline aging, blockers, or required actions
  • Coordinate with OEM partners, distribution, and channel teams to support co-selling actions

Partner & Event Coordination

  • Manage invitations, follow-ups, and scheduling for AMD field events, executive briefings, training sessions, and joint partner events
  • Liaise with marketing to support campaign execution, content delivery, and customer targeting lists

Internal Collaboration & Rhythm of Business

  • Participate in daily/weekly inside sales standups, pipeline reviews, and forecast calls
  • Help operationalize new inside sales processes, scripts, cadences, and onboarding materials
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, channel, operations, and technical teams to resolve customer issues and support AE priorities

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous inside sales, SDR/BDR, customer success, or account management experience preferred
  • Experience supporting enterprise or commercial customer environments a plus
  • Familiarity with OEM partners (Dell, HPE, Lenovo, etc.) or channel motions beneficial
  • Basic understanding of datacenter, PC, or cloud concepts preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and productivity tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
  • Ability to learn new tools quickly (AI assistants, automation tools, sales engagement platforms)

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

LOCATION:

US Remote or Austin, TX
(Periodic travel for key customer meetings, events, or team offsites)

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
