THE ROLE:  We are looking for an adaptive, self-motivated DFx Design Verification Engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. The Verification Engineering team furthers and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.    THE PERSON:  You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/time zones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Develop and maintain tests for functional and performance verification at the core level
  • Build and enhance testbench components to support next-generation SoC designs
  • Maintain and improve test libraries to support SoC-level verification
  • Create hardware emulation builds to verify SoC functionality and performance
  • Improve the existing hardware emulation environment to reduce runtime and enhance debugging capabilities
  • Collaborate with and provide technical support to cross-functional teams
  PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++
  • Proficiency with SystemVerilog/Verilog
  • Experience with Python or Perl scripting is a plus
  • Background or experience in computing or graphics domains is a plus 
  • Prior experience wtih DFx (Design for Test, Design for Debug, etc.) methodologies and verification is a strong advantage
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and team player skills  
  • ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
