The Team:

AMD's Data Center GPU organization is transforming the industry with our AI based Graphic Processors. The Role: 

If you have that special blend of deep technical prowess & great business savvy that makes an extraordinary Software Product Manager - we have an exciting role for you! As a part of the AMD Data Center GPU team, you will be responsible for the strategy, definition and delivery of next-generation AMD Instinct GPUs focused on HPC and AI/ML workloads. You will work closely with our customers to develop positive relationships, learn their software requirements and work with the architecture, engineering, and business development teams to create products and solutions that enable their success.  

The Person: 

As a Director of Product Management in the Data Center GPU Business Group, your influence will be broad within AMD, with our partners, customers, and industries that rely on GPU solutions for their HPC and AI applications. The successful candidate will be self-driven and passionate about bringing new solutions to market through a complex ecosystem. She/he is a dynamic product manager and leader who has strong experience with the AI software ecosystem and the capabilities required to maximize the value proposition of the AMD Instinct GPU products. This person has successfully developed customer-centric requirements and has worked with cross-functional teams to execute and deliver the roadmap to market. Your ability to work independently in a highly dynamic environment is important, and you will rely upon your excellent communication and presentation skills during customer engagements. You will work closely with the AI software strategy teams, and the entire customer team, including product management, business development, and sales teams to drive successful outcomes with our customers and partners.  

Key responsibilities:  

• Shape and maintain the strategy and product roadmap for your part of the AI software stack aligning with DC GPU's software strategy and business objectives 

• Identify gaps and opportunities in the software stack to drive innovation and differentiation 

• Engage directly with strategic customers and stakeholders to gather insights, prioritize features, and tailor software solutions for their AI workloads. 

• Work closely with internal architecture, engineering software, and strategy teams to enable the requirements that will deliver the best experience on AMD Instinct GPUs  

• Use your strong product sense to align the product and platform capabilities with what matters to our customers (the value proposition) and develop powerful positioning, collateral and proof points to support the product narrative.  

• Maintain and build upon AMD's presence within the industry by engaging with key AI software ecosystem communities e.g PyTorch Foundation, MLCommons, Hugging Face, vLLM, and others.  

Preferred Experience:  

• Deep knowledge of software product management experience with 1+ years of experience in HPC, AI, or Edge AI product requirements preferred  

• Solid understanding of software stack and capabilities required for AI workloads  

• Direct experience in developing or deploying large scale GPU based AI applications, like Natural Language Processing and Recommendation, for training and inference  

• Direct experience in building or managing cloud computing infrastructure and technologies  

• Successful management of technical products throughout their lifecycle  

Academic Credentials:  

• Science or Engineering or Business University degree required
