THE ROLE: 

As an Infrastructure Team, we build tools for enhancing developer workflows and provide automation solutions. Identify roadblocks and inefficiencies in existing ecosystems and implement processes/tools to remove them. As a team member you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs, application tools, networks etc. 

 

THE PERSON: 

The person has knowledge of automation solutions, frameworks and workflows and working experience with at least one automation solution. Is a team player who has good communication skills. He has good analytical and problem-solving skills and is willing to learn and ready to take on SW automation related problems.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Improve the already existing EDA SW automation infrastructure (build/sim scripts, dashboards etc.)  

  • Engage with verification and design engineers to understand their needs regarding the SW/automation infrastructure enhancements.  

  • Build, test, monitor and manage SW toolchains for critical functions.  

  • Responsible for quality results and demonstrated usefulness of developed SW tools.  

  • Develop SW/automation solutions with limited support.  

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • BS + 2 years or MS + 0-1 year plus working knowledge of software development, automation and basic software architecture principles.  

  • Intermediate Knowledge level in at least one of scripting/programming languages including shell, Perl, Python, Groovy, Java and/or Ruby  

  • Knowledge of web development  

  • Basic knowledge of software architecture.  

  • Background in object-oriented programming.  

  • Background in software automation.  

  • Good understanding of the Unix system (RedHat)  

  • Good understanding of computer organization/architecture  

  • Excellent standard of written and spoken English  

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
