THE ROLE: 

At AMD, our focus is around high-performance gaming (RDNA architecture) and computing using Radeon Technologies (CNDA architecture), opening new territory and pushing boundaries to gain generation to generation improvements in many performance KPIs not just at SOC but also system level. You will be part of an engineering team that requires proactive and frequent engagement with cross-functional teams to ensure that engineering teams are enabled in all product development cycles to drive discrete GPU products' power constrained performance achievement methodology and analysis for performance projection and attainment. THE PERSON: 

You have excellent communication, interpersonal leadership, summarizing and uplifting skills. You need to be detail oriented and to motivate matrix engineering organization and to provide right directions and guidance to accomplish goals with accuracy and quality. You are a fast learner and willing to take on challenges with guidance from leading program manager. Prior SOC hardware product design leadership and/or development program manager role experience is needed.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Coordinate and drive performance and power attainment and partner teams to execute on various programs and strategic initiatives.
  • Responsibilities will include one or more of the following:
    • Work with IP, SOC, platform and software development teams to achieve our objectives.
    • Help create, track, drive and maintain schedules including key milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
    • Report status and outlook for the tracked programs and initiatives.
    • Attend and sometimes host cross functional team meetings, help to drive horizonal program management initiative, publish meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.

 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Understanding of computer architecture and processor power efficiency fundamentals and having exposure to SOC development cycles (concept to customer launch) and milestone expectation framework.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • B.S. with more than 10 years of applicable experience is desired, M.S. with study in applicable field is preferred.
