THE ROLE:
The AMD Productization team works closely with external software developers and publishers to create some of the best games on the planet. We help them to fully exploit the technical capabilities of AMD's hardware products. Our aim is to raise the standards for gaming graphics and performance. We do everything in our power to make the user understand why they were right to buy AMD.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate is a highly skilled software engineer, strong in 3D math, fluent in C and C++, graphics APIs, and the efficient use of discrete GPUs, APUs, and CPUs. You have an interest in machine learning and are excited at the idea of working on large game engines and state of the art technology. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the external game development partners to integrate AMD gaming technologies into their titles
- Analyze, Understand and Debug hard to find problems in complex game engines.
- Use low level graphics APIs to write efficient shaders.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Proficient in C/C++ development for Windows, with a strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, language features, and standard libraries
Practical experience with DirectX-class development tools and techniques
Demonstrated skill in optimizing graphics code, especially shaders
Ability to interpret and enhance requirements to improve software systems beyond initial specifications
Willingness to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally
- GCN / RDNA graphics or game console architecture experience.
- Experience with Vulkan and/or DirectX 12 graphics APIs.
- Game engine or game rendering framework experience.
- Machine Learning background.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
