THE ROLE: 

The Business Manager will be the operational backbone of the AMD MNC sales team. This critical role ensures smooth end-to-end sales execution, from initial forecast planning and supply management to order fulfillment and revenue tracking. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mindset, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the sales-to-supply chain cycle within the PC industry. This is a high-visibility, execution-focused position that directly impacts the team's ability to achieve quarterly revenue targets.

The ideal candidate will possess a breadth of abilities and skills. We are looking for a person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Someone that can work independently as well as part of a team. With outstanding organizational and time management skills, balancing multiple priorities. You must also have the ability to cultivate strong internal and external relationships.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

I. Order Management & Sales Execution

  • Manage the complete sales order lifecycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing of Purchase Orders (POs) from the MNC customers.
  • Serve as the primary internal liaison between the Sales team, BU, Planning, Logistics, and Finance departments to expedite order fulfillment and resolve any delivery issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the MNC to ensure product availability aligns with committed delivery schedules.
  • Manage product transition plans for Acer SKUs, ensuring phase-in/phase-out processes are executed smoothly to minimize excess or obsolete inventory.

II. Revenue Tracking & Financial Reporting

  • Develop and maintain weekly, monthly and quarterly revenue tracking reports, providing the sales team with real-time visibility into performance against targets.
  • Analyze revenue trends, identify potential risks or opportunities, and communicate actionable insights to the Account Manager and regional leadership.
  • Ensure all sales records, pricing, and shipment data are accurately maintained within sales team and AMD internal systems.
  • Support quarterly and annual financial closing processes by reconciling sales data with finance team

III. Supply Management & Forecast Planning

  • Lead the demand forecasting process for the MNC account, working closely with the extneral / internal key stakeholders to capture and validate future unit needs.
  • Collaborate with the AMD supply chain and sales operations teams to translate sales forecasts into viable supply plans, ensuring alignment on committed quantities and timelines.
  • Track key supply metrics (e.g., lead times, buffer stock, allocation status) and proactively communicate supply constraints or changes that could impact the Acer business.
  • Participate in supply and sales operations planning meetings, representing the account's needs and commitments.

IV. Strategic Budget and Funding Planning 

  • Own the process for quarterly and annual account budget / funding planning, working in collaboration with the account  and AMD finance team.
  • Track and manage quarterly planning budget and other discretionary account funding, ensuring maximum utilization and compliance with AMD guidelines.
  • Ensure funding plans are accurately mapped to sales plan, and key marketing initiatives for the account.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in an internal sales, business operations, sales planning, or supply chain role, preferably within the semiconductor, IT, or PC industries. Experience with budget tracking and financial reporting is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) is mandatory for data analysis and reporting.
    • Proven experience working with CRM (e.g., Salesforce.com) and other ERP systems.
  • Competencies:
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a high attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
