Server Signal Integrity and Power Integrity Manager

 

Role:

AMD has an opening for Signal Integrity and Power Integrity Manager in Server Division. The person will work on further strengthen the server SIPI team capability to deliver system level signal integrity and power delivery network design and customer support for EPYC products.

 

The Person:

As a SIPI manager in AMD server platform team, you will be directly working with silicon architecture team, package design team, and platform team to influence the design of server products. The main focus will be on system level SIPI design to meet interface timing During post-silicon stage, your team will work closely with electrical validation team to do SIPI correlation and provide electrical debugging for both internal and external customers. The person needs to have the experience of below:

  • Deep understanding of VRM working mechanism and both passive, active modeling
  • Board/system-level power delivery network AC+DC simulation for low-voltage/high-current supplies
  • Deep understanding of DDR and HSIO system timing allocation and component impact.
  • System-level signal integrity and power integrity understanding including silicon, package, and board.
  • experience with DDR/HSIO electrical validation is a plus
  • Had previous experience of managing a SIPI team
  • Electromagnetic modeling of 3-D structures.
  • A key responsibility of this position will be to work closely with the customer support organization and to support customers with power integrity issues

Qualifications: 

  • Experience in analog/logic validation and characterization.
  • 8+ years of experience with component and system level SIPI analysis
  • Experience with DDR4/5, LPDDR4/5, U/R/LR DIMM JEDEC standards, PCIe4/5/6;
  • Experience with hardware architecture

 

Education:  

  • Candidate must possess a Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
