MANAGER SYSTEMS DEBUG – CHIPSCOPE TEAM
THE ROLE:
AMD is looking for a talented leader to help develop innovative FPGA and Adaptive SoC hardware- and system-level programming and debug solutions and related features, assist with the bring-up of new silicon products, and improve the quality of our debug solutions. As a team leader, you will play an essential role in enhancing AMD's capacity to deliver the highest quality and industry-leading system-level programming and debug technologies to the market.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate is driven by a passion for creating innovative tools that tackle complex system-on-chip (SoC) design and debug challenges. They embody a problem-solving mindset and demonstrate exceptional software engineering skills and system debugging expertise.
We are looking for a hands-on leader who will be responsible for leading the team, planning IP, software and systems development projects, creation of documentation, and delivering software products for internal as well as external customers. This role also requires that the individual can interact and work with their counterparts globally to ensure effective delivery of the projects.
As a member of the ChipScope team, the candidate will take on the rewarding challenge of addressing intricate SoC and FPGA in-system debug issues, developing user-friendly tools that enhance end-user productivity. The team plays a crucial role in every stage of product development—from design to prototyping, implementation, and testing.
Successful candidates will combine a strong understanding of computer technologies with remarkable leadership and software engineering skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment alongside diverse engineering teams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate and play critical role in planning project deliverables
- Own and drive IP/firmware/systems design, development, verification and release the product to customers
- Performing individual goal planning and evaluation in accordance with AMD policies
- Maintaining the health and morale of the team
- Develop and grow the engineering skills of the team
- Drive critical issues and interface with cross functional teams
- Provide periodic management/executive updates
- Lead brainstorming sessions
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Solid knowledge of systems design fundamentals, including IP, hardware and embedded software components
- Hands-on experience in HW/SW systems design, debug and validation
- Experience with FPGAs and Adaptive SoCs strongly desired
- Embedded firmware programming knowledge and skills desired
- Proven track record of planning and delivering complex system hardware and software products
- Experience leading multiple projects with competing priorities
- Strong project management skills and experience with project management techniques such as scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
- Disciplined approach to problem solving and ability to make business decisions in a technical environment
- Strong Interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
- Self-motivated with an ability to multi-task
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer/electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related technical disciplines
