THE ROLE:

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring that new PCB development program execution is successfully driven in line with the project(s) scope, schedule, and budget. The candidate must also have a strong understanding of the general board development process, from concept to production. A key component of this role involves working closely with platform design team including Electrical, Power and Mechanical Design Engineers as well as AMD package and simulation team

THE PERSON:

The candidate is an experienced PCB CAD Engineer that has excellent communication & project management skills and can complete the design task with least supervision. He/she must be able to work on a fast phase environment and collaborate well with others. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design multi-layered PCB's using industry standard techniques, ensuring considerations for DFM and DFT have been made
• A good understanding of analogue, digital, high speed and power supply circuits

• Have an understanding of the PCB manufacturing process. Analyze and resolve PCB manufacturing related issues in a timely manner

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement PCB designs that meet product specifications
• Work with the package and simulation teams in understanding Power integrity and Signal Integrity requirements
• Perform design rule checks and support signal integrity analysis.
• Actively participate in design reviews and provide feedback
• Generate Gerber and assembly files for manufacturing
• Implement design changes and resolve any issues during prototyping and production stages
• Be aware of project timelines and contribute to the PCB layout sections of the project plan with relevant tasks and estimated timescales
• Schematic capture and PCB layout experience with Cadence Allegro/OrCAD
• Review and recommend improvements to existing designs and procedures
• Maintenance of CAD libraries
• Work with the Mechanical Design Engineers to create physical CAD models and resolve issues related to mechanical constraints

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in PCB design
• Proficient in CAD software such as Cadence Allegro/OrCAD
• Strong understanding of PCB fabrication processes and technologies
• Experience with design rule checks and signal integrity analysis
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field are preferred
