THE ROLE: We are looking for an NPI Coordinator to join our team. This role is crucial in managing seeding, logistics, hardware purchasing, and maintaining relationships with SI/OEM hardware vendors. The NPI Coordinator will work closely with various departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of hardware and other resources to AMD Partners.
THE PERSON: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual who excels in managing logistics and purchasing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a knack for building and maintaining relationships with vendors and internal teams. A background in hardware purchasing and logistics management is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage developer seeding efforts and logistics pools.
- Oversee vendor negotiation and purchase management.
- Assist in cross-functional management of hardware for seeding, and developer events.
- Coordinate with SI/OEM hardware purchasing relationships to ensure timely and efficient procurement.
- Maintain accurate records of all purchasing and logistics activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast hardware needs and manage inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to purchasing and logistics.
- Maintain and monitor budgets related to hardware purchasing and logistics, for marketing, and non-marketing events.
- Obtain quotes from vendors and process orders in SAP Ariba.
- Work with vendor/AMD AP/AMD Procurement to help set up new vendors in the system.
- Work with vendors/AMD Logistics/AMD AP to ensure goods received are captured in AMD systems and invoices are processed.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in hardware purchasing and logistics management.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience working with vendors.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience with inventory management and forecasting.
- Familiarity with SI/OEM hardware purchasing processes.
- Experience with SAP Ariba.
- Basic contract and working with legal experience
