JOB SUMMARY:
The Occupational Health Program Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive occupational health programs that align with organizational objectives. This role involves overseeing programs related to workers' compensation, medical accommodation, ergonomics, emergency response, infectious disease prevention, medical surveillance, and workplace injury and illness prevention. The role requires working onsite at a designated AMD location, minimum 3 days+ as needed, with ability to travel 10 percent of the time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Program Development and Management:
- Design, implement, and manage occupational health programs focused on injury and illness prevention.
- Oversee workers' compensation processes, including claims management, lost time, work restrictions and return-to-work programs.
- Develop and manage medical surveillance programs including infectious diseases, bloodborne pathogens, respiratory protection, and hearing protection, as needed.
- Oversee ergonomic evaluations, training compliance, and Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) and Cumulative Trauma Disorders (CTD) injury prevention.
- Assist with medical aspects of employee business travel program.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to occupational health in places where AMD does business.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement in health and safety practices.
- Manage and maintain records according to internal specifications and privacy requirements.
- Perform other duties to support the broader Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) organization including the management of medical supplies and waste.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze health-related data trends and prepare reports to inform management and guide decision-making.
- Utilize data to identify root causes of workplace incidents and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Workplace Culture and Training:
- Foster a culture of well-being by promoting health and wellness initiatives across the organization through health promotion and education activities.
- Develop and deliver training programs on ergonomics, emergency response protocols, and infectious disease prevention.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, safety, and facilities, to promote cohesive health and safety strategies.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding health-related inquiries and medical accommodations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both executive management and workers.
- Infectious Disease and Medical Emergency Prevention and Response Coordination:
- Assist in the development and execution of prevention and emergency response plans related to medical emergencies and infectious disease outbreaks.
- Assist with the training of emergency response teams in effective health crisis management.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Solid experience in occupational health, safety, or a related area, with a strong focus on program management.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations, medical accommodations, and ergonomics.
- Strong understanding of infectious disease prevention and response protocols.
- Experience in case management and developing/implementing medical surveillance programs.
- Proficiency in analyzing health and safety data, with the ability to create actionable reports and business presentations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to foster collaboration.
- Excellent business writing skills and competence in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Certification in occupational health, safety, ergonomics and/or case management (COHN, OHST, CEAS, CCM), is a plus.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Public Health, Nursing, or a related discipline. (Master's degree preferred).
