THE ROLE:
In this role, you will be responsible for driving systems and integrated solutions architecture of complex SoC centric solutions spanning silicon, board, FPGA libraries, embedded software, and applications. You will define technical cross functional requirements for a multi-disciplinary team, complete system level trade-space analysis, develop novel solution architectures, and help guide silicon roadmaps based on customer and marketing inputs.
THE PERSON:
AMD-AECG Architecture team is looking for an experienced, innovative, and multi-discipline Systems Architect to help drive the development of next-gen of Adaptive SoCs based solution level systems and products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing constrained embedded and high-performance embedded systems, complex SoCs & new platform bring-up.
- Technical lead in the development of SoC centric board level systems design and trade-space analysis inclusive of SoC device, circuit board, operating system, software infrastructure, and example integrated applications.
- Work with customers, product owners, and cross-functional technical teams to define scalable solution architecture requirements and corresponding multi-release technical roadmaps.
- Define and delivery system, board, FPGA, and software architecture specifications in a clear and concise language.
- Ability to work with Linux based systems and software programming languages including C, C++, SystemC, & Python
- Ability to construct FPGA based SoC configurations, IP debug, and custom design generation using VHDL, Verilog, and System Verilog.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Solid foundation in heterogeneous systems architecture & integration
- Strong multi-discipline analytical problem solving and attention to details
- Thorough understanding of heterogeneous SoC, Arm based processors, FPGA, and hardware-based ML/AI accelerators
- Experience in SoC based products and solutions development within automotive, vision, industrial, and machine learning application spaces
- Knowledge of platform & solution level cyber-security requirements including boot and runtime security.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- BS, MS, PhD (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related equivalent)
