THE ROLE

This position focuses on optimizing process technology features and derivatives for AMD products. The role drives foundry partners to deliver optimized technology features on a schedule aligned with AMD's product roadmap. You will engage in early technology bring-up to maximize PPA (Power, Performance, Area) in current and future technologies, leveraging state-of-the-art EDA place-and-route tools and advanced analysis techniques to help define new technologies.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Optimize process technology features and derivatives for AMD products.
Drive foundry partners to deliver optimized technology features aligned with AMD's roadmap.
Engage in early technology bring-up to maximize PPA for advanced nodes.
Utilize state-of-the-art EDA tools for synthesis, place-and-route, timing sign-off, and physical verification.
Apply advanced analysis techniques to define and validate new technologies.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Proven experience in physical design (PD) using state-of-the-art PD flows.
Multiple tape-outs utilizing industry-standard synthesis, place-and-route, timing sign-off, and physical verification tools.
Strong ability to analyze design PPA and implement improvements through architectural or flow optimizations.
Understanding of key process features for advanced and emerging technologies.
Familiarity with synthesis, PNR, STA, and DRC/LVS tools is an asset.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

BS or MS in CE, EE or similar with significant impact to the semiconductor industry
