THE ROLE: 

As a Product Development engineer, you will collaborate with various Product Development Groups to bring-up and ramp new products which include Plan, debug and handle manufacturing and characterization test programs for next-generation AMD microprocessors. 

 

THE PERSON: 

A successful candidate is one who can drive technical decisions independently, has accountability for accuracy, reliability and completeness of assignment results critical to the project's success.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Develop test plans, create test cases, and execute tests.
  • Validate new product features, test conditions, test methodologies, and test contents during first silicon bring-up 
  • Validate the integration and functionality of various SoC components and interfaces.
  • Analyze SoC architectures and contribute to the continuous improvement of validation methodologies.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Ruby, shell script 
  • Proficient in Linux, Unix or Windows OS 
  • Experience in silicon debug, logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes 
  • Understanding of PCIe protocols and standards.
  • Experience with SoCs, including design and architecture knowledge.
  • Proficiency in hardware debugging and problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard validation tools and environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or comparable disciplines.
