THE DEPARTMENT:

Our department is responsible for developing Soft RTL Ips, Standard Cell Libraries for all AMD products, and in-house Process Characterization structures.  These IPs must meet AMD's performance, power, area, and cost requirements in state-of-the-art CMOS technologies. We are exposed to bleeding-edge technologies that few other companies will ever hear of. We play a major role in shaping AMD's roadmap and future products.

THE ROLE:

This role is geared towards developing required soft RTL macros to be used globally in AMD products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Block level micro-architecture spec, RTL design, synthesize and timing closure.

Collaborate with verification team to achieve good coverage.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  

Strong skills on Verilog HDL or System Verilog

Familiar with Front-end design and implementation flow

Knowledge on synthesis and STA

Low power design experience is a plus

Good skills on Perl/Python script

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Minimum Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
