You will define and deliver key components of the ROCm™ software stack and collaborate closely with software engineering, architecture, and solution teams to ensure AMD's HPC software delivers leadership performance and developer productivity across CPUs and GPUs.

This is a high-impact role requiring technical depth, market understanding, and cross-functional leadership.

THE PERSON:

You are a technically savvy product manager with a strong understanding of HPC workloads, parallel programming models, and developer tools. You thrive in highly collaborative environments, can translate complex technical concepts into product direction, and are passionate about enabling developers and researchers to achieve breakthrough performance on AMD platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define product vision and roadmap for AMD's HPC software stack, including math and communication libraries, runtime components, and development tools.

  • Work with engineering to prioritize feature development and performance enhancements that align with market needs and HPC ecosystem trends.

  • Collaborate with architecture, compiler/runtime, and hardware teams to optimize end-to-end performance across AMD CPUs and GPUs.

  • Engage with key customers, partners, and open-source communities to understand technical requirements and integrate feedback into product plans.

  • Analyze competitive technologies and industry trends to guide software positioning and differentiation.

  • Support go-to-market activities including launch readiness, documentation, and developer enablement.

  • Represent AMD in technical forums, workshops, and customer discussions as a subject matter expert for HPC software.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Solid years of experience in product management, technical marketing, or software engineering, with focus on HPC, technical computing, or developer platforms.

  • Familiarity with HPC frameworks and libraries such as MPI, OpenMP, BLAS, FFT, and solver libraries.

  • Understanding of GPU programming and heterogeneous computing (HIP, CUDA, SYCL, OpenCL).

  • Experience in open-source software development or community engagement is a plus.

  • Strong technical communication and collaboration skills across global, cross-functional teams.
