THE ROLE:

 

Through this position, we are actively seeking a strong payroll professional with a proven track in payroll administration and tax compliance. Along with advanced payroll processing skills, this role will also be actively involved in various key projects/initiatives that drive payroll transformation.  This role reports directly to the Payroll Manager.

 

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Support the bi-weekly US payroll processing for ~7000+ employees utilizing the ADP Vantage payroll system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Process Termination Final payments and all other off-cycle payment runs.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing and reporting of all payroll processes and all subsequent responsibilities.
  • Perform validations of payroll inputs, down-stream reports and interfaces that include but not limited to GL Postings, Accruals, third-party and Net Pay.
  • Attend to queries and requests from key stakeholders within HR, Comp & Benefits, HRIS, IT, Legal, Accounting and Finance and HR business partners.
  • Work directly with an offshore team (a part of shared-services model) that support US payroll operations.
  • Work on the year-end processes to ensure system updates and annual balancing of earnings and taxes for accurate and timely issuance of W-2s and filings.
  • Execute and liaise with the third-party vendors for monthly/quarterly/annual tax filings and compliance reporting.
  • Support all requests from external and internal tax audit teams.
  • Ensure accurate processing of Expat/Inpat reportable Earnings and benefits.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of payroll related journal entries including various accruals such as Commissions, Vacations, Payroll Labor cost etc.
  • Respond to requests and queries from GL, Corp Accounting and other BU Finance Analysts and respond to payroll-related queries on a timely basis.
  • Attend to all escalations, issues from internal and external customers on a timely basis.
  • Skilled in implementation of Payroll conversions, set-ups and/or upgrades that will ensure a smooth transition from one system to another with little to no interruption to payroll process.
  • Provide accurate data for our mission critical metrics and SLAs for our operations.
  • Support Payroll Finance MPO in SOX compliance audits internal and externally.
  • Manage and support ad-hoc reporting, relevant information and presentations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned but not limited to the above.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive payroll and project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state and local tax regulations to ensure compliance.
  • A general understanding of accounting principles and practices is desired.
  • Knowledge of Project Management is strongly desired.
  • Attention to Details with Strong Interpersonal and Analytical skills are required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite applications, such as excel, word, power-point.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • BA or BS degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related fields is required.
