THE ROLE:

The Technical Program Manager will support the Lead Program Manager and Customer Engineering Core Team. Being hands on, you will lead and drive the planning and execution activities of all work within the AMD Semi-Custom SOC development programs.

A curious mind capable of quickly synthesizing technical information and helping teams find creative solutions while keeping technical efforts on track.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Planning, alignment, day-to-day tracking and timely delivery to Stakeholders for life of program (pre- and post-si)
  • Developing consistent, repeatable processes for tracking and delivery of internal and customer-facing work
  • Weekly status reporting & progress tracking into the program's Chief Engineering Council, and other internal and customer-facing forums as requested
  • Primary customer interface for JIRA (or other database) task management
  • Works with the Lead Technical Program Manager, Product owner and relevant team members to ensure compliance to customer gate checklists & contract achievement attainment with business development team
  • Engaged in supporting day-to-day Program execution, risk mitigation and problem solving activities
  • Provides inputs into program-level lessons learned exercises and continuous improvement activities

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Familiar with product development with hardware platforms and related software ecosystem.
  • Must be well-organized and a self-starter with a proven track record to work collaboratively and coordinate the activities of geographically distributed technical teams.
  • Proven track record to grasp new technical concepts quickly.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence horizontally across internal functional organizations.
  • Excellent analytical, project planning, and leadership skills while being highly organized, able to prioritize, and balance multiple work streams to deadlines
  • Proven track record to deliver multi-functional initiatives.
  • Quickly adapt to dynamic business and technical requirements
  • Business savvy; ability to think strategically and make intelligent technical vs business trade-off recommendations.
  • Skilled in collaborating with customers, partners and in leading joint-development projects.
  • Energized by working in a fast-paced technical organization and multi-site environment
  • Ability to work independently under deadlines, responding to ever changing business and technical conditions with minimal direction.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIAS:

Bachelors or Master's degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
