AMD together we advance_
THE TEAM:
AMD's Data Center GPU organization is transforming the industry with our AI based Graphic Processors. Our primary objective is to design exceptional products that drive the evolution of computing experiences, serving as the cornerstone for enterprise Data Centers, (AI) Artificial Intelligence, HPC and Embedded systems. If this resonates with you, come and joining our Data Center GPU organization where we are building amazing AI powered products with amazing people.
THE ROLE:
As a valued member of the Instinct Architecture Requirements Definition team in AMD's Data Center GPU & Accelerated Processing product management organization, you will help to define the technical requirements, product strategy, and competitive outlook for AMD's Instinct GPU product families. You will author detailed technical product requirements, prepare technical guidance documents to inform product managers and influence product roadmaps, produce detailed customer collateral to foster deep technical engagement with key customers, and perform thorough competitive analysis on planned system feature sets and performance.
THE PERSON:
We're looking for system-level thinkers excited about solving the world's most challenging computing problems beyond rack scale. The right candidate seeks a strong understanding of “why” a system is performing a particular task, as opposed to solely focusing on “how”. We need motivated self-starters with extensive experience across multiple domains used in industry-leading datacenter and enterprise environments: cooling technologies, power distribution and delivery, power transient management, data center design, platform mechanical engineering, manufacturing and system integration test fixtures, shipping logistics, and installation. Your work will influence all layers of the technology stack, from the silicon to the system SW.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Product Requirements Definition: capture detailed technical product requirements to guide and direct product development execution and perform thorough reviews of engineering deliverables to ensure they satisfy established product requirements.
- Customer Engagement: engage directly with leading Hyperscaler, CSP, OEM, and ODM clients to capture their requirements, understand their technology roadmap, and collaborate with them to ensure alignment between their future plans and AMD's product roadmap
- Internal Advocacy: synthesize external feedback, requirements, and industry updates into informative and compelling internal presentation material to change minds and assert influence across multi-disciplinary groups
- Industry Involvement: participate in standards setting bodies, attend industry event such as conventions and conferences, and meet with vendors of supporting technologies to understand product roadmaps for all the varied technologies required to implement massively scaled GPU compute clusters
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS & COMPETENCIES
- Strong problem-solving skills with a holistic, system-level approach to delivering solutions
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex information in an accessible manner to a diverse audience
- Comfortable in a customer-facing role, able to command attention and engage participants in a large, dynamic environment.
