Job SummaryWe are looking to add a new Facilities Manager to join our team in Blackburn or Kendal UK. The Facilities Manager will be managing, coordinating, and overseeing various functions for the facilities organization including maintenance and alteration of office, manufacturing, warehouse, truck yards, parking, and landscaped areas and equipment, as well as layout, arrangement, and housekeeping of the aforementioned facilities. May coordinate, manage, and direct the design, planning, construction, maintenance and alteration of building structures, equipment, machinery, - and other facilities infrastructures.
What a typical day looks like:
You will control inter- building communication installations and maintenance
Oversee maintenance and alteration of all areas and equipment within the building(s), as well as layouts, arrangements, and housekeeping of all facilities
Analyse and standardizes various facilities procedures to improve efficiencies
Determine work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow
Assign duties for team members and examines work for conformance to policies and procedure
Inspect evaluates use of space and facilities
You will work in conjunction with the health and safety department
Plan, budgets and schedules various regional facilities modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts and contracts for construction
Perform audits to support facility planning
Inspect construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications
Oversee and direct maintenance personnel and workers engaged in facility equipment installation, facilities equipment repair and preventive maintenance
Oversee contracted cleaning services
Complete corporate and site reporting
Cap X and asset management and facilities
Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and dealing with the consequences
Other duties as assigned by Senior Leadership team
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
5 years' experience in facilities management in manufacturing environment
Excellent personnel management and professional communication skills
Strong leadership skills
A team player with a positive attitude towards work and staff engagement
Proactive with an eye for problem solving and continuous improvement
Excellent PC skills, particularly Microsoft office
