To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Supply Chain Specialist – Modular located in Kendal OR Blackburn.
Reporting to the UK Procurement Manager, the Supply Chain Specialist - Modular will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of materials and outsourced components required for modular construction projects. This role serves as the critical link between suppliers, sales, and project management teams—negotiating lead times and pricing, coordinating outsourced processes, and maintaining clear communication to support project timelines and commercial objectives.
What a typical day looks like:
Negotiate lead times, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers to meet project schedules and budget targets, both at tendering stage and after the job is won.
Act as the primary liaison between Sales, Project Management, and Suppliers to align material availability with project timelines.
Communicate project requirements and changes to suppliers in a timely and clear manner.
Support project managers with supply chain updates and risk mitigation strategies.
Manage relationships with outsourced suppliers handling fabrication, assembly, or finishing processes.
Ensure outsourced activities are aligned with internal quality standards and project milestones.
Track outsourced order progress and resolve bottlenecks or capacity issues.
Assist in sourcing of new supply bases for competitive pricing, quality and reliable products
Support NPI with product launches
Complete ad hoc tasks as directed
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Typically requires a minimum 5 years of Supply Chain experience
Experience in identifying and managing Supply Chain partners globally
Strong negotiation skills
Background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous
Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, as well as ten-key, spreadsheet (PC) and ERP software
Posses' strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to read, research and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to apply common sense comprehension to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Willingness to travel when required
