DES is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Applications Developer (Senior Informatica Developer). This position responsible for the complete life cycle and the management of ETL (extract, transform, and load) processes and database systems. This role collaborates with business, development, and testing teams, as well as facilitates accurate data reporting within organization standards and maintains 24/7 system availability, investigates and analyzes issues, and researches opportunities for improvement of processes. This individual provides technical advice and guidance to the junior developers on the team while collaborating with business analysts and architects to contribute to projects that enhance system's functionality and support business requirements.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Design, develop, and optimize ETL workflows and mappings using Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Fix bugs or issues within the software.
• Document ETL processes, workflows, and best practices.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data integration needs and implement solutions.
• Informatica Administration including monitoring running jobs, identifying performance bottlenecks, troubleshooting errors, and resolving issues related to data integration processes.
Knowledge of:
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
• SQL and understanding of dimensional data models to design a robust and secure Data modeling experience to design data warehouse
• REST APIs• Informatica Cloud, Data warehousing concepts and BI architecture
• Data Modeling / Data warehouse Designing concepts
Skills In:
• ETL data management areas such as ETL and database architecture and design, data warehouse design and implementation, administration
• Developing, maintaining and testing all IICS workflows.
• Conducting the testing process and resolve all defects
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong skills in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies
Ability to:
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Work effectively and independently or in a team environment
• Prioritize tasks and work concurrently on multiple tasks
• Build strong relationships inside and outside the organization
• Write technical documentation
• Use or maintain testing frameworks, test libraries, databases and test environments
This ideal candidate for this position will have:
• Bachelor's degree plus 8 or more years of programming and analysis experience (or equivalent experience).
• This position may require driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply: Driver's License Requirements. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
• Employee shall obtain and maintain a valid Level One fingerprint clearance card that meets DES requirements for a Level One card pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 41-1969.
• Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency's ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
• All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).

Retirement:State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period. The ASRS defined benefit plan provides for life-long income upon retirement. You will also have the option to participate in a voluntary deferred compensation program to take advantage of tax-deferred retirement investments.
