$35.37 - $58.95 / hour, based on education & experience

As the Manager, Home Care Operations, you will work closely with leaders providing day to day oversight of staff, quality projects and operational support. This role is responsible for the management and direction of our growing hospice and home care team. You will play a key role in overseeing both departments, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvements.

 

 

 

 

Banner Hospice have been providing high quality end of life, palliative care for many years in the Northern Colorado communities. The goal is to support quality of life, honor the wishes of patients, maintain the dignity of the individual and support the family through the end of life and grieving journey. Inpatient care is also available for caregiver respite as well as complex symptom management. The Banner Hospice Team can provide comfort to the patient and family by alleviating symptoms, by providing meaningful help and by creating an environment to develop truly special final memories.

 

 

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for clinical back office operational excellence and coordination of corporate services supporting home based operations. Responsibilities may include functional expertise on moderately complex computer applications in an assigned department and may be expected to lead project teams. This may include tasks such as creating functional documentation, participating in creating or reviewing technical documentation and training materials.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Collaborates with and leverages corporate services to the best advantage of home based services.

2. Directs and collaborates with corporate services to ensure effective on-boarding and education approaches are employed.

3. Assures key patient care and business processes are documented and effective.

4. Identifies opportunities for operational improvement. Leads and directs process redesign efforts to ensure operational goals are met.

5. Responsible for clinical back office functions and regulatory compliance. Assures timeliness of billing through oversight of back office billing audit processes.

6. Assumes an active role in the implementation of home based applications and maintains optimal operation of departmental applications.

7. Serves as a liaison for IT services and IT vendors for home care operations. Articulates home based IT needs, serves on IT related committees on behalf of home care and works with IT directors to ensure home based IT needs are met.

8. Ensures reporting needs of the home based operations are met. Works with corporate reporting services to develop KPI dashboards and data cubes off the existing home care billing software systems.

9. Assists management to create a region- wide focus of performance improvement initiatives. Responsible for developing and implementing assigned projects consistent with the operational plans. Assures development and completion of assigned projects in compliance with BH operating and capital budgets and achievement of financial performance. Internal customers include but are not limited to employees, patients, and management at the local, regional, and corporate levels. External customers include but are not limited to, practicing physicians, vendors, and the community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess strong knowledge as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field and a minimum of 3-5 years working with systems and/or home health medical records, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, technical, business, and healthcare experience.

Excellent working knowledge of typical word processing, spreadsheet and/or database applications is required. Good organizational, critical thinking, problem solving, communication and human relation skills are required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


Additional experience with specialized applications in related area also preferred. Supervisory/management and staff development experience preferred.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
