Our campus has an immediate opening for an English Teacher who will work in both small-group and 1:1 settings. This role includes subject-area instruction as well as 1:1 Executive Function (EF) support classes, providing personalized academic and organizational coaching for students.
The ideal candidate is passionate about student-centered education and committed to fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes compassion, emotional safety, independence, and critical thinking. Instruction is delivered through Barnstable's differentiated approach, with close attention to each student's academic and emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality English instruction in small-group and 1:1 settings
Provide 1:1 Executive Function (EF) support classes, including skills related to organization, planning, task initiation, and self-advocacy
Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners and promote holistic student growth
Maintain accurate and timely academic and student records
Build and sustain positive, collaborative relationships with parents and caregivers
Mentor students beyond academic instruction, supporting social-emotional growth and goal setting
Contribute actively to the campus community and collaborate with colleagues
Engage in ongoing professional development, reflection, and continuous improvement
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Teaching credentials required
Strong content knowledge of English at the 6–12 grade levels
Experience working with students with learning differences and/or ADHD preferred
Experience with student mentoring or executive function support strongly desired
Ability to teach across middle and high school grade levels
Organized, self-directed, and proactive; able to multitask and problem-solve effectively
Patient, compassionate, and able to connect authentically with students
Positive, collaborative team player with a strong service orientation

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. If a bonus applies, more information will be given at offer.
