Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) and Texas Children's Hospital (TCH) in Houston seek to recruit a dynamic leader for the Chief, Division of Pediatric Critical Care, one of the largest and most diverse pediatric critical care divisions in the country with 95 attending physicians, 10 physician instructors, 50 advanced practice practitioners, and 21 fellows, across three campuses.

The Division offers the ACGME recognized Fellowship training program in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine as well as post-fellowship instructorships in Cardiac Intensive Care, Extracorporeal Life Support, Neurocritical Care and Critical Care Nephrology.

Robust in intramural and extramural funding, the Division exceeds $700,000 in NIH grants with R-01 and K awards among existing faculty, and has recently been selected to join the NIH Collaborative Pediatric Critical Care Research Network (CPCCRN) as a core center. TCH is also a core center for the NIH Pediatric Heart Network. Clinician-scientists in the Division have interests in sepsis and inflammation, leukocyte biology, cardiac disease, extracorporeal life support, and multisystem organ failure.

The ideal candidate will possess successful experience leading Critical Care Medicine across multiple sites within a premier academic institution. This individual will be recognized for excellent leadership in patient care, education, and research on a scale that merits national preeminence. Significant vision, communication, and collaboration skills, in addition to solid business acumen and a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusivity, are required to effectively lead the Division.

Texas Children's Hospital (www.texaschildrens.org) is an internationally recognized pediatric hospital located in the Texas Medical Center in Houston. Texas Children's Hospital is the primary pediatric training site for Baylor College of Medicine, which has the largest pediatric residency program in the country. As the largest pediatric hospital in the US, Texas Children's has 897 licensed beds across three campuses — Texas Children's Hospital Main Campus, Texas Children's Hospital West Campus, and Texas Children's Hospital The Woodlands. Texas Children's Hospital is known for providing world-class, pioneering pediatric patient care, education, and research.
