We are seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to join our global payroll team of five professionals. Based in Spain or the UK, you will play a key role in managing payroll operations across multiple EMEA countries, with primary responsibility for Spain, UK, France, and Portugal payrolls. You will also act as a backup for other EMEA payrolls, supporting the delivery of a seamless, compliant, and employee-focused payroll experience across the region.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Operations (Primary Focus)
- Own the end-to-end payroll process for UK, Spain, France, and Portugal, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Collaborate with external payroll vendors and internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Legal) to ensure smooth payroll execution
- Review and validate payroll inputs/outputs, including salary, benefits, deductions, taxes, and statutory reporting
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory reporting obligations in each assigned country
- Reconcile payroll reports and general ledger accounts; support accounting in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
- Act as the regional subject matter expert for assigned payrolls and provide back-up support for other EMEA payrolls
- Partner with the global payroll team to identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
- Leverage payroll technologies and tools (experience with ADP Streamline a plus) to drive efficiency, scalability, and accuracy
- Champion continuous improvement and standardization across EMEA payroll operations
- Support internal, external, and statutory audits with accurate documentation and timely responses
- Stay current on local legislation, taxation changes, and employment regulations across assigned payrolls
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, HR, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive multi-country payroll experience, with strong expertise in UK and/or Spain payroll; experience in France and Portugal is highly desirable
- Deep understanding of EMEA payroll regulations, compliance, and statutory reporting requirements
- Hands-on experience with global payroll platforms (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP, Ceridian); ADP Streamline strongly preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; able to collaborate across HR, Finance, and external vendors
- Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset, comfortable working in a matrixed global environment
- Fluency in English required; additional European languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese) a plus
