Job Description
The National Operational Excellence Director position is part of Brinks U.S. and reports to the Vice President of Operational Excellence. The position is preferable domiciled at the Brink's Corporate Headquarters in Coppell, TX, but exceptions may occur for specific cases. Travels are required approximately 50% of the time. Duties include the following areas of focus outlined below.
Responsibilities
- Define requirements and ensures the implementation of Lean strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed customer expectations and business performance
- Responsible for ensuring the development and the sustainability of continuous process improvement culture in accordance with Lean thinking throughout the organization
- Guarantee the implementation of the Lean Roadmap in a country level (5S Program, Problem Solving Methodology/A3s, Value Stream Map, Standard Work, Standard Work for Leaders, Visual Management, Total Productive Maintenance)
- Regularly reviews Lean performance expectations with leadership teams across the organization, providing expectations, performance planning, feedback, training & development and performance discussions
- Manage workshops of improvements (Kaizens weeks) for specific regions and branches to promote the continuous improvement of their value stream maps and find better standards of work
- Promote and ensure the standardization of best work practices in all regions and branches
- Actively train and coach Lean methodology for teams of all Line of Business and Administrative Departments
- Highlight outstanding employees in the branches and departments visited aiming at the succession of positions at different levels
- Serves as program manager to deliver on strategic initiatives. Acting strongly in the planning, execution and monitoring of projects focusing efficiency to the business, such as production planning, production flow, route logistic and resource management for all Line of Business
- Builds and maintains strong customer relationships. Lead collaborative efforts with leadership, branches and customers to proactively address Voice of Customer concerns and operative challenges via the standard Lean cycle of improvement (VSM – CIR – Kaizen)
- Acting as a facilitator for implementation of new solutions and businesses, among all interested areas
- Look for innovation in the market. To be updated with the technologies applied to our activities, carrying out benchmarking and research in external companies and in Brinks' branches at regional and global level

Preferred Qualifications
- Brink's Bronze or Silver Lean Leader certification a strong plus
- BA/BS degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering or related professional field

Travel
Must be willing to travel 50+% of the time
