Summary
The purpose of this position is to create excitement for our guest beyond their expectations. This will be accomplished by working in harmony with all the team members and by making our guests happy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversees all slot activity on assigned shift.
- Assists with hiring, scheduling, training, counseling, and evaluating of slot team members.
- Verifies and signs checkout reports for change bank and slot booths.
- Approves slot machine payoffs and fills.
- Evaluates and motivates slot team members.
- Solves disputes on Casino floor for guests and team members.
- Assists in writing new procedures for the slot department.
- Ensures compliance with company standards and gaming regulations.
- Enforces departmental policies and procedures.
- Investigates all slot operations overages and shortages.
- Ensures that proper staffing levels are maintained.
- Performs minor repairs on slot machines.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages six subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 80 employees in the Slots. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Also directly supervises 80 non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Five or more years of Slot supervisory experience with 2+ years of Shift Manager experience. Strong computer skills with the ability to utilize MS Office applications. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong customer service and teamwork skills necessary to deliver superior casino resort service to a diverse customer base. Display strong leadership qualities and the ability to serve both internal and external customers. Strong project management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a professional manner. Ability to analyze Players Tracking Profiles for comp issuance. Ability to maintain high confidentiality. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Ability to balance, control, and report significant amounts of cash accountability on assigned shift. Ability to coach, mentor, and support employees, while enforcing company policies.
Age Requirement
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
