As a Family Engagement Representative is responsible for coordinating and evaluating ongoing communication with partners and stakeholders for CSUSA to secure opportunities that can meet the needs of parents and students.

How You Will Impact Education

  • Assists students, staff, teachers, parents and community members for the purpose of providing and/or conveying information and other services required by parents, teachers, staff and students both academic and non-academic that affect student academic achievement.
  • Communicates with parents on behalf of school (e.g. attendance and homework issues, available programs/services, completing paperwork, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that an ongoing partnership between the home and school is formed.
  • Conducts and coordinates parent meetings as assigned for the purpose of gaining information and/or discussing needs and challenges involving students and their families.
  • Maintains a variety of confidential and non-confidential manual and electronic lists and records (e.g. activity logs, phone logs, community resources, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing up-to-date reference and audit trail and/or ensuring the availability of items to parents, students, staff and community.
  • Organizes a variety of activities (e.g. back-to-school day, parent meetings, information sessions, conferences, and other creative activities) for the purpose of providing support to the school and parents, showcasing students' talents and abilities, and celebrating the diversity of the community.
  • student engagement and retention. Actively monitor student retention numbers and working with school staff to promote student engagement activities and plans to increase higher recommits.
  • Participates in a variety of meetings, workshops and committees for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions and remaining knowledgeable with program guidelines.
  • Responds to inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources (e.g. parents, students, teachers, staff, outside agencies, etc.) for the purpose of providing information and/or direction as may be required.
  • Coordinates with families and students as required for the purpose of assessing situations, improving communication, providing information regarding school policies and programs, and/or providing referrals.
  • Provides teachers, school districts and work with outside agencies, as appropriate, with information regarding student enrollment.
  • Create a marketing plan and execute marketing strategies designed to build awareness and boost enrollment through social media, mass marketing, advertising, grassroots outreach and community building tactics.
  • Deploy print, email, and social media campaigns to support on-going communication to prospective families.
  • Maintain, monitors, and update school website and social media accounts. Includes but not limited to ensuring accuracy of information, creating flyers, graphics, and taking photos for use on school website and social media accounts.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Develop outreach strategy to increase awareness in the local community. Including but not limited to developing relationships and networking opportunities with local governments, faith-based-groups, community agencies, child care and early learning centers.

  • Possesses mathematical skills which must include basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, computation, and problem solving. Must be able to use percentages and fractions.

  • Possess organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Internet/Email.

Job Requirements

  • BA in Community Leadership and Outreach or Marketing is Preferred
  • Experience in Community Outreach, Marketing and Partner Development Preferred.
  • Experience in Successful Program Development and Management Preferred.
  • Minimum 2-year College Degree required.
  • Two (2) years of successful experience in a related field.
  • Commitment to company values.

  • Must have access to dependable transportation.
  • May perform other duties assigned.
