How You Will Impact Education

This role plays a critical strategic function in advancing school choice and educational innovation. By conducting market analysis, maintaining development pipelines, and supporting new school openings, the position directly influences the growth and success of charter, private, and alternative education models. The job supports informed decision-making through data, helps identify high-need areas for school expansion, and facilitates the implementation of innovative tools and systems that disrupt traditional educational models--ultimately improving access, quality, and efficiency in education.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Proactivity, creativity, and follow-through. Must possess the following "discovery skills" and understand how to use them in a research/analysis setting: associating, questioning, observing, experimenting, and networking.
  • Proven analytical skills (strategic and tactical) and ability to independently conduct thorough market studies and demand analysis, develop sophisticated models based on key variables, and transform data into qualitative summary reports for managers and executives.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.). Additional knowledge of project management software (SharePoint, Monday, etc) is preferred, and quick mastery of mapping software (e.g. Google Earth, ESRI, GIS, etc.) will be expected.
  • A high level of interpersonal skills and communication is imperative. Excellent oral (presentations, phone), written (reports, emails), interpersonal (active listening, empathy) skills, and the ability to negotiate and influence are critical. Must demonstrate poise, tact, diplomacy, confidentiality, and a willingness to solicit and accept feedback to improve performance.
  • High degree of organization is required. Must be able to think ahead and plan over a 2-5 year time span and manage multiple priorities and projects at once.
  • Collaborative, team-player work ethic that understands team dynamics promotes the inclusion of other team members in planning, decision-making, facilitation, and process improvement by looking for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. A Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or another quantitative field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a market/business analyst, project manager, operations coordinator, or comparable role in national chain retail, healthcare, real estate, education, finance, private equity, or start-up environment.
  • Experience with at least two of the following: Applied statistical modeling, business intelligence, enterprise database management, coding/programming, geospatial/site selection research.
  • Commitment to company values and sincere belief in school choice as a means for reforming education and improving American society as a whole.
  • Such alternatives to the above requirements as CSUSA may find appropriate and acceptable.
