As a Corporate Accounting Manager, you will report to the VP, Corporate Controller and will be responsible for overall accounting management of several corporate entities.
How You Will Impact Education
Instruction/Education Responsibilities
- Responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating work of a number of accounting associates in all aspects of accounting including general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Responsible for review of all journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation and inter-company transactions for multiple entities.
- Responsible for preparation of monthly financial statements and various detailed analyses.
- Work directly with Controller to prepare consolidated financial statements and operating results.
- Assists with difficult accounting work on involved projects and problems.
- Manages forecast and budget processes and performs actual to budget variance analysis for assigned entities.
- Works closely with independent auditors during the annual financial audit by providing supporting documentation and explanations of transactions and processes.
- Assists department(s) in preparing proposals and contracts, agenda items, and supporting information; explains policies and procedures; and gives advice on accounting issues.
- Assists with special studies that require data compilation; analyzes and interprets information in oral and written presentations.
- Works within standard operating procedures.
- Performs special accounting projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Skills

- Thorough knowledge of general accounting including thorough skills knowledge plus the application of general
- In-depth knowledge of forecasting and accounting principles; knowledgeable in issues encountered by Staff and Senior Accountants.
- Significant experience with databases and spreadsheet programs and use of accounting information systems.
- Ability to work with large amounts of data, to interpret financial records, detect errors and prepare financial reports.
- Organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities.
- Establish a set of operating principles and routines; driving projects to completion, while insisting on highest level of quality.
- Ability to consistently be at work, to arrive on time, to follow instructions, to respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance.
- Establishes excellent interpersonal skills between all constituents: being courteous, professional, and helpful; demonstrates high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.

Job Requirements
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting must. 5-10 years of professional experience in all aspects of accounting or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- CPA preferred. Proven supervisory experience.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), QuickBooks, Student Information System (SIS) and accounting software.
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
