As a Senior Manager of Forecasting and Performance, you will play a pivotal role in driving organizational growth through student enrollment, insight in budgetary processes and operational excellence. This role optimizes operational excellence and data-driven decision making for network enrollment. This role also brings insight and recommendations for acquisition of new families and retention of current families by using historical data, research, competitive intelligence, data science, and deep analytics to optimize marketing and enrollment performance.
How You Will Impact Education
Instruction/Education Responsibilities
Develop Enrollment Forecasting
- Owns and refines enrollment forecasting activities and reporting to support and engage stakeholders and finance departments in planning and budgeting activities.
- Develops and maintains the forecasting models using advanced analysis and statistical methods to project future enrollment using statistical and other software as appropriate.
- Track performance against the forecast and identify, research, and modify variances to forecast by changing business and market conditions and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
Manage Networkwide Enrollment
- Manages the different aspects and dates of the marketing and enrollment annual cycle including start of year, intent to return, open enrollment, lottery, state reporting, end of year in collaboration with the leadership team.
- Oversees formal state reporting for enrollment, analysis to support incentive programs, and order to drive and deliver on enrollment performance.
- Works closely with Information Technologies on all aspects of network-wide enrollment reporting to ensure accuracy, relevancy, and delivery.
- Collaborates with the marketing and enrollment team to identify and prioritize targeted areas of improvement across the enrollment processes to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of efforts.
Provide Marketing and Enrollment Insights
- Supports team as the subject matter expert in enrollment trends and provides insight for enrollment target setting.
- Data mine our CRM and other software platforms to gather as much insight from data to optimize integrated marketing strategy, conversions, and messaging that will impact enrollment.
- Participates in market research, data mining and modeling activities to determine trends and provide increased understanding and hypothesis testing of patterns in consumer behavior and identifying consumer insights.
- Proactively work with marketing and enrollment to develop an understanding of operational process to conceptualize dashboards, scorecards, and KPI development and improve data collection methods to enhance analysis.
- Serves as an internal consultant to define quantitative analytics needs and guide team to meet those needs.
- Gathers metrics and collaborates to develop marketing campaign triggers to evaluate performance, opportunities, and insight.
- Fosters strong collaborative working relationships with functional leaders in operations and Information Technologies.
Present & Report
- Refine large quantities of information into concise, useful, and meaningful management reports, with an emphasis on providing timely and accurate answers to key business questions.
- Synthesizes information and disseminates results through written reports, maps, charts, graphs, and presentations to convey new strategies, policies and changes for senior management, other departments, and cross-functional teams.
- Develops and maintains dashboards and visualizations to communicate business performance and trends to engage stakeholders.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Statistical modeling skills (regression and forecasting, etc.)
- Database and analytical programming skills (including SAS and SQL, etc.).
- High proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas and some VBA experience)
- Possess a technical toolkit of SQL query language, a statistical language such as Python or R, and a data visualization tool such as Tableau or Power BI
- Ability to work with imperfect data and manage ambiguity to support business decisions
- Ability to be a self-starter and work independently on data analyses and combine multiple data sources across multiple views to uncover trends
- Good storyteller who can flex across technical and business, and influence people across all levels.
- Strong project management, problem-solving and analytical experience
- Proven research and analytical techniques, emphasizing the ability to gather, evaluate and synthesize complex and large sets of data from various sources and present information in a clear and cohesive manner.
- Demonstrated ability to present information in formal and informal settings and impart understanding of complex ideas and statistics to others.
- Exceptional communication skills (i.e. interpersonal, written, and oral); experienced presenter and collaborator with all levels of the organization.
- Outstanding critical thinking with the ability to serve as a change agent and encourage staff to find innovative ways of meeting business demands.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and forecasting.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data analysis, trend identification, and root cause analysis is crucial. Ability to work with large datasets and draw meaningful insights.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and effectively frame new and complex issues.
- The ability to effectively break down complex data and analysis for non-technical audience to answer the business question at hand
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Accounting, or other quantitatively oriented field required with demonstrated competencies in applied marketing research, sales and/or marketing analysis, social science research and/or similar fields.
- 3-5 years related experience in Planning and Forecasting or Sales Incentives, preferably within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
- Fluency in computer technologies, including high level of proficiency and understanding with data mapping, data mining and statistical software tools. High level of proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software programs (CRM or Salesforce, Tableau).
- Experience with R or Python
- MBA with several years of applied work experience preferred
- Must pass a background check.
- May perform other duties assigned.
