Finance & Control department in Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is a part of Global Finance organization and responsible for full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K European operations. SENIOR GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure accurate and timely complex accounting and reporting;

• Manage operational issues, resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities;

• Review the information submitted by other departments and assist them with their questions;

• Ensure close dialogue with Business unit in Norway and various stakeholders in Europe;

• Ensure compliance of internal controls in accordance with the Group's guidelines;

• Participate in improvement projects in accounting/ reporting area.

Qualities that would help you to perform in this position:

• Experience in accounting or audit field, preferably with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processes;

• University degree in economics, finance, accounting, mathematics or similar. Accounting specialization is preferred;

• Fluent English language skills (oral and writing);

• Good computer skills and general accounting system background (Oracle JDE and Longview is an advantage);

• Strong process analytical skills and process improvement capabilities;

• Strong analytical and accounting skills;
