Position Summary

The Gulf Coast Talent Acquisition Manager position supports sourcing and recruiting for Store Manager and Market Manager talent as well as providing staffing and talent development analytics at the store staff level.

Essential Job Functions

  • Administrator for the Gulf Coast Career Mobility and Diversity & Inclusion plans.
  • College Recruiting for the Gulf Coast College to Convenience Program
  • Assesses Store Manager hiring needs by collaborating with Regional Directors and District Managers to assist in sourcing candidates, junior college program, reviewing candidates and following up with RDO on hiring.
  • Manages Store Manager 9-Box results and succession planning connecting to MITs in training.
  • Managers Store Assistant training certifications and assists in identifying Store Assistant candidates' eligibility to promote into the MIT Program.
  • Reviews and analyzes the weekly staffing and labor reporting, provides weekly updates to HRD.
  • Participates in weekly Regional Director's District Managers and Regional Recruiters meetings to identify high turnover stores, solicit plans for gaps in staffing vacancies and review payroll labor hours usage against Legion usage ensuring Legion Program integrity.
  • Provides monthly Power BI turnover and retention reporting to field Regional Directors and District Managers connecting to store, market, and region performance with Human Resources Managers.
  • Uses the predictability of Store Manager/District Manager success through analysis of performance metrics and assists Human Resources Managers with Performance Management initiatives with underperforming Store Managers to drive development and results.
  • Assist Workday onboarding of field and non-store new employees as needed.
  • Facilitates, as a backup to the HR Generalist, new employee Director Meet & Greet sessions as needed.
  • Coordinates with the Brand Manager to participate in community engagement opportunities to develop Circle K as the employer of choice in the communities that we operate in.

Requirements

Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources preferred

A minimum of two years' experience in retail sourcing and recruiting, preferably convenience store industry

Working knowledge of Human Resource functions as well as roles and responsibilities

Must have a reasonably proficient working knowledge of Workday

Ability to flex and adapt to schedule and job task redirection, assess, and predict needs and plan to support

Works well independently, in team settings, is a self-starter, generates ideas and effectively manages their schedule

Possess excellent interpersonal skills

  • Communicate and articulate accurate information to the HR team, District Managers, Directors, and shared services team members in an appropriate manner consistent with business needs.
  • Exceptional communication skills to read, listen, understand, and communicate information and ideas in a clear, concise, and understandable manner, both orally and in writing

Work under tight deadlines, with interruptions, and stressful situations.

Ability to process information including gathering, assessing, analyzing, organizing, auditing, and verifying data

Possess a solid skillset in all Microsoft Office tools; especially Excel initiating and modifying spreadsheets as well as creating Power Point presentations

Additional Job Requirements

To properly perform the duties of this position as outlined above, it is essential that the individual be able to meet the following physical demands.

Use of general office equipment to include laptop computer, fax machines and copiers etc.

Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time & operate computer keyboard for data entry.

Position self to maintain workspace and files including bending, reaching, lifting up to 50lbs.

Can travel up to 50%, operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.

Working Conditions

Normal office environment with little or no exposure to adverse working conditions. May work outdoors for company functions and events. Work may occasionally include long hours, weekends, and holidays.
